Baby Teeth Jewelry Trends

Parents tend to be sentimental when it comes to their kids. Baby teeth are not an exception! Some parents keep their children's baby teeth in keepsake boxes, plastic baggies, or something more creative. These tiny teeth remind parents of their baby's first smiles, and they can be tough to part with!

Having your child's teeth turned into jewelry has become increasingly popular. Some people think it's bizarre and slightly creepy, but others compare it to the trend of bronzing baby shoes. Either way, you will have no trouble finding a shop or business that will turn your child's teeth into earrings, a bracelet, or a necklace pendant.

The History of Baby Teeth Jewelry

Incorporating baby teeth into jewelry is not a new trend. In fact, it was practiced in the Victorian era by Queen Victoria herself. When Princess Victoria lost her first tooth, Queen Victoria had the tooth mounted in a broach. You can still see this broach on display in Buckingham Palace!

If you're planning on making your child's baby teeth into a keepsake, it's important to keep them clean and healthy! The best way to make sure your children have a cavity-free childhood is to make sure they're brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, flossing every day, and visiting Little Rockies Pediatric Dentistry for a dental cleaning and a checkup. Our Fort Lupton child’s dentist is here to help!
